Admission

  • Admission to the CTA program is selective.
  • Each applicant is evaluated on his/her:
    • academic record
    • work experience
    • personal statement of background and goals
    • performance on a placement examination that tests programming aptitude and knowledge of computer fundamentals
  • The typical candidate has completed at least two years of college and holds an associate's or higher degree. Applicants who do not meet these criteria will be considered for admission to CTA Program II.
  • Mathematical concepts are taught in the program as needed but are not tested in the admission process.
  • An appropriate level of computer literacy, as demonstrated on the CTA placement examination and by previous experience, is required of all candidates for admission to the program.
