Auditing CTA Courses

  • Consideration will be given to a limited number of qualified auditors who wish to enroll in individual CTA courses, depending on available space.
  • Auditors in CTA courses participate fully in class and receive a letter grade (A, B, C, D, F, or INC) at the end of the term.
  • An auditing student may opt to be graded on a Pass/Fail basis after consulting with the course instructor regarding Pass/Fail requirements and notifying the Admissions and Student Affairs Office in writing.
  • All audited courses are recorded and a transcript of record is permanently available from the University.

Application Procedure

  • Auditors must submit the standard application form but are not required to provide transcripts and personal statements or complete the CTA program placement test.
  • The $35 application fee is waived for auditors; however, they are billed for all other tuition and fees as described in Tuition and Fees, and are subject to the same rules and regulations as candidates for certification in regard to changes in registration.
  • Auditors assume all responsibility for prerequisites to courses in which they enroll.
  • While audited courses may not be applied toward certification, auditors who wish to switch their status to candidate for certification must submit a completed application to the CTA Program as outlined under How to Apply.
