Computer Technology and Applications

Equipment

  • CTA students who do not already own a PC are encouraged to purchase one before the start of their second full term.
  • Database Application Development and Design track students must acquire a PC prior to the start of the first term classes.
  • IBM PCs or compatibles are used in the CTA program. Macintosh machines are not used.
  • CTA advises that you consider purchasing a portable laptop for use in conjunction with your studies. The prices of powerful laptops have dropped dramatically and, while they are still somehwat more expensive than their desktop counterparts, their portability and ease of use justifies the higher price.
