Admission

Admission to AITM is highly selective and the curriculum is current and challenging. As a result, graduates have outstanding opportunities for career advancement.

Application Requirements

  • B.A. or B.S. degree (minimum). Those holding similar or equivalent degrees from foreign colleges and universities may be required to provide official documentation substantiating this along with their academic transcripts.

  • professional expertise as a technical analyst, software developer, database designer, and/or network administrator

  • fundamental knowledge of computer programming and communications software, mastery of PC software and hardware, and a working knowledge of Office Suite software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

For those without such professional and technical expertise, admission to the program may be possible upon successful completion of certain courses in the Computer Technology and Applications Program. The specific courses required depend on the student's technical background and are identified on an individual basis in an interview with the program chair.

Placement Examination

A placement examination is administered and the results are taken into consideration when evaluating a student's admissibility to the program. Upon receipt of the completed application form, the Admissions and Student Affairs Office will notify applicants of the dates and times when placement exams are being administered.
