The AITM Certificate

Upon completion of the program, students are awarded an official Columbia University certificate as well as a transcript from the University Registrar documenting individual courses taken and final grades awarded.

What is the difference between a certification and a degree program?
The AITM certification focuses on applied learning. The program prepares you for a specific capability, which, upon graduation, you will be ready to handle.

Can the AITM courses be transferred to a credit program?
All AITM courses are noncredit and cannot be transferred to a degree program.

How does the AITM certificate program compare with an MBA?
The AITM Program is not for credit or a degree, but rather to certify that you indeed are capable of performing defined tasks in the workplace. In contrast, an MBA program focuses on academic credit, but does not certify skills.

What jobs can graduates expect?
Successful completion of the AITM program will assure growth and advancement in the information technology field. Several of our recent graduates have made successful career moves as CIOs.
