Curriculum Guide for CTA Students

Ongoing modifications in this track are being implemented in such a way as to not impact continuing students Please use the following as a guideline when registering for summer 2001 courses. **

Term One

Students starting with the summer 2001 term must take:

QC5100 Introduction to Networking Technology

QC5104 Windows NT 4.0 Server (section 1 only; replaces QC5203 Intro to Windows NT *Administration - Workstation)
First-term students: be sure to register for section 1 of 5104.

Term Two

Students who started with the spring 2001 term must take:

QC5201 Network Protocols and Architectures

QC5104 Windows NT 4.0 Server (section 2 only; replaces QC5303 Advanced Windows NT * Administration: Server)
Second-term students: be sure to register for section 2 of 5104.

Term Three

Students who started with the fall 2000 term must take

QC5300 Cases in Network Design

QC6100 Intensive Introduction to UNIX

Term Four

Students who started with the summer 2000 term should take:

QC5504 Network Design Lab

QC5403 Internet and Web Server Development Using Windows NT

* Some Windows 2000 basics will be covered as necessary as part of the NT curriculum, subject to industry developments.

** Individual questions about course offerings may be directed to the Track Chair, Kenneth Winston, at [email protected]. Please use the phrase NAAD QUESTION in the "Subject" field so that your queries will be properly channeled.

For Windows NT classes, working familiarity with Windows98 or NT operating system is essential. Brush up on your Windows!
