TERM ONE

Students who are beginning with the summer 2001 term must take:

QC2102 Introduction to SQL and the Oracle Database Server

QC2103 Analysis of Information Systems (replaces QC2101, Object and Structured Analysis)

First-term DADD track students who do not pass a preliminary operating systems test will be required to enroll in QC4107, Operating Systems Essentials for IT Studies concurrent with their first-term classes.

Oracle Installation Seminar for first-term students: Thursday, May 10, 6:10–9:10 p.m., 602 Lewisohn.

TERM TWO

Students who began with the spring 2001 term must take:

QC2204 Database Specification and Design

and

QC2203 Embedded SQL and PL/SQL

or

QC2205 Embedded SQL and Java*

TERM THREE

Students who began with the fall 2000 term must take:

QC2305 Introduction to PL/SQL Development Tools (replaces QC2304 Introduction to Oracle Developer) and QC2300 Application Design Lab: PL/SQL

or

QC2308 Introduction to Java Development Tools

and

QC2301 Application Design Lab: Java*

TERM FOUR

Students who began with the summer 2000 (or earlier) term must take:

QC2400 Application Development Lab: Oracle Developer

or

QC2405 Database Application Development Lab: Java

and

DADD elective of choice

DADD Track Electives

QC2504 Data Warehousing **

QC2506 Introduction to Oracle Database Administration **

QC2205 Embedded SQL and Java (recommended for students working towards certification in the PL/SQL focus, subject to space availability)

QC2203 Embedded SQL and PL/SQL (recommended for students working towards certification in the Java focus, subject to space availability)

Electives outside of the DADD track are discouraged, and may only be taken with the approval of the Track Chairs and/or the CTA Director.

** These classes are available to 3rd or 4th term DADD track students and CTA program graduates ONLY. 4th term students and program graduates will receive priority. PLEASE NOTE: Electives with less than 6-8 enrollments may be subject to cancellation.

Working familiarity with the Windows Graphical User Interface is required for first term DADD students. Brush up your Windows!
