Tuition and Fees

Tuition and fees are subject to change at any time at the discretion of the Trustees.

  1. Fee for a single 3-point course

    (for students registering for one course only in a given term): $2,750

    or

    Fee per point, for students registering for fewer or more than 3 points: $768

    or

    Fee per credit course (for students registering on a noncredit basis in writing courses only, except Writing N3081x and N3083y [see course listing]): $2,040

    or

    Fee per noncredit course (for Noncredit Foreign Language students): $1,060

  2. University facilities fee (per term; required)
    Full-time students (those registered for 12 or more points): $54
    Part-time students: $38

  3. Creative Writing program fee (per term; required of all students enrolled in a Creative Writing Center class): $17

  4. Application fee (one-time payment; required): $35

  5. Transcript fee (one-time payment; required): $45

  6. Course-related fees--see each course description.

Depending on their individual situations, students may also be required to pay the following fees:

  1. Withdrawal fee (incurred for each student who chooses to withdraw once registered, even if withdrawal takes place during the registration period) $75

  2. Late registration fees (see calendar for dates and deadlines)

  3. International services fee (per term; required of all international students, except those in the AITM or CTA programs): $50

  4. Health service fee (required of all full-time students; includes limited sickness and accident coverage):
    Fall 2000 (September 1, 2000–January 15, 2001) $224

    Summer 2001 (June 1–August 31, 2001) $120

    Dependent Coverage

    Eligible students who enroll in the medical insurance plan may enroll their eligible dependents in the Basic Plan.

    Eligible dependents include:

    • The insured student’s lawful spouse/same-sex partner residing with the student;

    • The insured student’s unmarried children (including stepchildren and foster children) under the age of 19.

    Information and enrollment forms for dependents will be available after July 1, 2000, at Health Services or through Chickering Claims Administrators, Inc., (800) 859-8471.
