3.5.2 Technical Metadata

The second tab in the Add Image form is for Technical Metadata.  Most of its fields are provided for your convenience, since DS itself will never ("What, never?" "Well, hardly ever.") ask you for any of this information; in fact, if your institution collects photographic metadata in another system, you can safely ignore almost all of this.  You will want to read about Capture ID, though, and in a bit about Legacy Images and a workflow tool called Status.
