Cataloging Practices Manual | [CPM-571] |
---|
Once you have determined via CPM001 that book in hand is not a duplicate, use the following chart to decide where to add copy in hand. The chart below lists the most frequently expected combinations of locations which may exist as separate records in CLIO as a result of batch loading records into CLIO from previously separate library catalogs. The term "CU loc " on the chart refers to Morningside location codes used by Bibliographic Control Division and Barnard staff (e.g. afst, ave, bus, che, glx, etc., etc.). The term "UTS" location applies to catalog records created when Burke Library was separate from CU Libraries and which were batch loaded into CLIO in 2004. For combinations of locations other than CU, HSL, UTS or DOCS, consult supervisor.
If bibliographic record has OTF or OTFR in the 965 field, do not use the record for any processing.
For additional added copy processing procedures, consult CPM570.
