Granting and revoking index privileges for user groups

Use the Group page of the index Privileges notebook to grant and revoke the user group privileges for an index. The only privilege available for indexes in CONTROL.

Before you begin...

To grant or revoke the CONTROL privilege for user groups on an index:

1. Open the Privileges notebook for indexes.

2. Open the Group page by clicking on the Group tab.

3. List the user groups for which you want to grant privileges in the Group box:

   1. Click on Add Group. The Add Group window opens.

   2. Type a user group name or select the user group names that you want to grant the CONTROL privilege to.

   3. Click on the Add push button. The user groups that you selected are added to the Group box on the Group page.

   4. Click on the Close push button to close the Add Group window.

4. Select the user groups you want to work with from the Group box.

5. To grant or revoke the CONTROL privilege for the selected user groups, click on Grant All or Revoke All push button. The CONTROL field updates to Yes or No to indicate privilege status.

6. Click on the Apply push button to apply the changes that you made in the Privileges window.

7. Click on the Close push button to return to the Control Center.
