Configuring an instance

Use the Configure Instance notebook to view and change the configuration parameters for the current instance (database manager).

For help with the Page controls, select the Overview button to return to the Notebook Overview, then select the desired notebook page from the Page controls section.

To configure an instance:

  1. Open the Configure Instance notebook.

  2. To change a configuration parameter, select the parameter you want to change from the parameters section of the notebook page.

  3. Enter the value for the selected parameter in the Value area of the notebook page. The Value area contains a combination of entry fields, check boxes and radio buttons that change depending on the parameter selected.

  4. Optional: Continue selecting and changing parameters until you have made all your changes.

  5. Select OK to save your changes to the configuration parameters and close the notebook.
