Taking a table space partition out of the roll-forward pending state

Graphic denoting partitioned database environments appears here. If you restore a table space partition, it is always in the roll-forward pending state when the restore operation completes. It is not available for use until it is removed from this state.

Notes:

  1. If you take a table space partition out of the roll-forward pending state, you cannot perform roll-forward recovery on it. The table space partition remains in the state it was in when the backup image was taken, and no changes recorded in the logs can be reapplied.

  2. You cannot stop the roll-forward operation after it begins.

Graphic of Overview push button appears here.
