Backing up a table space partition

Graphic denoting partitioned database environments appears here. You back up a table space partition to create a back-up image that you can use to restore it.
Note:The database partition that holds the table space partition must be enabled for forward recovery before you can back up the table space partition.

To back up a table space partition:

  1. Open the Database Partitions window.

  2. Select the table space partition that you want.

  3. Select Table Space Partitions->Backup.

    The Backup Table Space Partition notebook opens. Press F1 or click on the Help push button for instructions on how to use this window.
