Introduction to American Business Writing: Intermediate Part I

For non-native English speakers wishing to improve basic American business writing skills and knowledge of American culture.

  • You play the role of an advertising executive trying to win a new client by impressing them with a great ad campaign.
  • Your job requires that you understand and respond to several forms of communication from your co-workers and the client.

Intermediate students generally have TOEFL scores in the 150–173 range or TOEIC scores in the 550–650 range. Students at this level have a basic knowledge of English and can communicate their ideas using simple vocabulary and grammatical forms.

Introduction to American Business Writing: High-Intermediate Part I

For non-native English speakers who already have some American business writing skills.

  • You play the role of a sales executive selling e-commerce solutions to a prospective client.
  • Your job requires that you understand and respond to several forms of communication from your co-workers and the client.

High-intermediate students generally have TOEFL scores in the 173–193 range or TOEIC scores in the 650–700 range.
