    If the item lacks cataloging copy, create a preliminary record.

  4. MFHD AND PHYSICAL PROCESSING

    1. If not already present, add location code in 852 $b.

    2. Track the item to FAVE in 852 $x with priority, e.g., FAVE3.

    3. Volume holdings

      For multi-volume sets, or for microform reproductions of sets, create an 866 field according to current procedures.

  5. STATISTICS

    Count as "BACKLOGGED in the 948 field." Do not count on Change-in-Size-of-Collection statistics sheet.
