Altering a table space or table space partition

Use the alter window to change the characteristics of an existing table space or table space partition.

To alter a table space:

  1. Open the alter window:

  2. You may do one or more of the following tasks:

  3. Graphic denoting partitioned database environments appears here. Optional: If you are using the Alter Table Space window in the partitioned database environment, you can change the characteristics of a container on one or more nodes. To do this click on the container in the Container name box and click on Nodes contain Exceptions. Then click on List to open the List Exceptions window, which you use to specify the nodes on which the characteristics of the container are different.
    Note: Graphic denoting partitioned database environments appears here. If you do not change the characteristics of the container, the path for the container must exist at every node on which the container will be created.

  4. Click on OK to alter table space characteristics.
