Granting schema privileges to a new user

Use the Schema page of the Add User notebook to grant privileges on schemas in a database to a new user of this database.

Before you begin...

To grant schema privileges:

1. Open the Add User notebook.

2. Open to the Schema page by clicking on the page's tab.

3. List the schemas that you want to grant privileges on.

4. Specify the privileges that you want to grant. You can grant all privileges at the same time, or you can grant them individually.

5. If you didn't specify the authorization name of the user to whom you're granting schema privileges, you must:

   1. Open to the Database page by clicking on the page's tab.

   2. Use the User box to specify the authorization name.

6. Click on Apply. The privileges are granted.

7. Optional: Grant one or more of the following types of authorizations, in any order:
   • Database authorities
   • Table privileges
   • Index privileges
   • View privileges

8. Click on Close to close the Add User notebook.
