Granting database authorities to a new user

You can use the Database page of the Add User notebook to grant authorities on a database to a new user of the database.

Before you begin...

To grant database authorities:

1. Open the Add User notebook.

2. Under Choose the appropriate authorities to grant to the selected user, indicate which database authority or authorities you want to grant.

3. If you didn't specify the authorization name of the user to whom you're granting database authorities, you must use the User box to do so.

4. Click on Apply. The authority or authorities are granted.

5. Optional: Grant one or more of the following types of privileges, in any order:
   • Schema privileges
   • Table privileges
   • Index privileges
   • View privileges

6. Click on Close to close the Add User notebook.
