Granting database authorities to a new group

You can use the Database page of the Add Group notebook to grant authorities on a database to a new group of users of this database.

Before you begin...

To grant database authorities:

1. Open the Add Group notebook.

2. Under Choose the appropriate authorities to grant to the selected group, indicate which database authority or authorities you want to grant.

3. If you didn't specify the authorization name of the group to which you're granting database authorities, you must use the Group box to do so.

4. Click on Apply. The authority or authorities are granted.

5. Optional: Grant one or more of the following types of privileges, in any order:
   • Schema privileges
   • Table privileges
   • Index privileges
   • View privileges

6. Click on Close to close the Add Group notebook.
