Pruning a log

You can remove one or more entries from any log displayed in the Journal.

Before you begin...

To prune a log:

1. Open the Journal notebook.

2. To open the log that you want to prune, use either of the following methods:

   • On the Jobs page, select an entry from the System name box. Click on the Pending jobs, Running jobs, or Job history push button to display one of the job logs.

   • Select either the Recovery page or the Messages page to display the recovery log or the messages log.

3. Select the entries that you want to remove.

4. Click mouse button 2 on the entries and select Remove from the pop-up menu.
