Enabling or disabling a job

Use the Jobs page of the Journal notebook to enable or disable a job that is listed in the Pending Jobs view.

An enabled job is run as expected. If you disable a job, the job definition remains, but the job is not run.

Before you begin...

To enable or disable a job:

1. Open the Journal notebook.

2. On the Jobs page, select an entry from the System name box.

3. Click on the Pending jobs push button. The Pending Jobs view is displayed.

4. Select the job that you want to enable or disable.

5. Click mouse button 2 on the entry and select Enable or Disable from the pop-up menu. If you enable a job, the word "Yes" appears in the Enabled column for the selected job.
