Dropping an alias

Use the Confirmation window to confirm that you want to delete the alias or aliases selected in the Drop box.

When you drop an alias, its description is deleted from the catalog, any packages and cached dynamic SQL that reference the alias are invalidated, and all views and triggers dependent on the alias are marked inoperative.

Before you begin...

To drop an alias:

1. Open the Confirmation window.

2. If you want to delete the alias or aliases selected in theDrop box, click on OK. If not, click on Cancel.
