Import -- Columns

Use the Columns page of the Import notebook to specify column options.

Tasks

• Importing a file to an existing table:

  • Using default settings (method D)

  • Mapping column positions (method P)

  • Mapping data columns by starting and ending column locations (method L)

  • Mapping column names (method N)

• Creating a new table from an input file:

  • Specifying file options when creating a new table or deleting rows in an existing table and repopulating it
