Taking a database partition out of the roll-forward pending state

Graphic denoting partitioned database environments appears here. A database partition in the roll-forward pending state is not available for use. The database partition can be in this state if you restore it from a backup image that was taken when the database partition was enabled for forward recovery.
Note:If you take a database partition out of the roll-forward pending state, you cannot perform roll-forward recovery on it. The database partition remains in the state it was in when the backup image was taken, and no changes recorded in the logs can be reapplied.
