Application Materials

Applications are not considered complete until all related materials, including fees, have been received.

1. Completed application form, by mail or online, with "Postbaccalaureate TESOL Certificate Program" selected under Section 2

2. Statement of purpose (300–500 words) answering the following questions:

   • For what purposes do you wish to take courses in the Postbaccalaureate TESOL Certificate Program?

   • How does the Postbaccalaureate TESOL Certificate Program relate to your current employment and to your immediate and long-term educational and professional plans?

3. $35 nonrefundable application fee (U.S. currency), for students not enrolled in any division of Columbia University

4. Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions, in envelopes sealed by the issuing institutions

5. Official TOEFL scores (for applicants whose first language is not English). School code: 2594.
