Designed for those students who may have an advanced knowledge of English grammar yet need special help in developing their listening and speaking skills.

English Z0719x. Pronunciation workshop. 3 pts. Sept. 11-Dec. 5. Tu 5:10-7 evening.
Available to ALP.

Students in this course receive practice attending to and producing the sounds and rhythms of English.

English Z0919x. TOEFL preparation workshop. 1.5 pts. Oct. 30-Dec. 14. TuTh 4:10-6.

Develops the test-taking skills needed to improve one's performance on the Test of English as a Second Language. Note that it does not serve as a comprehensive language course.

The first of a two-term sequence for students who place into the highest level on the English Placement Test. College composition and literature. Carries credit toward the Bachelor of Arts degree.
