American Language ProgramThe Carlton ArmsThe Carlton Arms, a suite-style University dormitory 7 blocks away from the American Language Program (ALP) office, offers housing for ALP students during the academic year (SeptemberApril). The building is also available for the first and second summer sessions, May to early July; however, it is not air-conditioned. It is not available from July 22 through September 12 (including the third summer session). All students living in the building are required to find other housing for this period. Only full-time students are eligible to live in the Carlton Arms. The SuitesEach suite houses six to twelve students.
The RoomsAll students are provided with a single bed, dresser, wardrobe, chair, desk, and desk lamp. Each student is responsible for providing his/her own linen, towels, and pillows. Rooms are equipped with telephone jacks. Laundry facilities are available in the basement of the building. There is no smoking allowed in the dormitory. General GuidelinesStudents who continue in the Carlton Arms for successive semesters are not guaranteed the right to keep the same room for their entire stay. All residents in University accommodations are subject to the rules and regulations of housing. Students who disobey these rules and regulations will have their housing contracts cancelled and will have to leave the dormitory. It is expected that each resident be clean, quiet, and considerate of other students. How to ApplySpace is limited. Please apply as soon as possible.
