Texts Level:  Languages

Definition:  Names, in English, of the language(s) used in the text.

Comment:   Include more than one language, if appropriate, separating each language name by a semicolon. Remember that Languages boasts of a Browse List, so be sure to place the alphabetizing word in the first position.

Example:

  • Middle English
  • Italian dialect, possibly southern [not "southern Italian dialect?"]
  • French with forms typical of Picardy
  • Latin; French

Properties:  Data type: text with default value set for "Latin." Field size: 75 characters.

Required?:  No.
