Parts Level:  Span of Folios

Definition:  In reference to the individual Part, the number of leaves in arabic numerals.

Comment:   Phrase this as a span, not as a total and thus include the designation "v" for "verso." If the manuscript is a single-leaf document, repeat from the Manuscripts Level, "One leaf" (or "One item" or "Fragment" or "Cutting," etc.) If in roll format, give number of membranes, as was done at the Manuscripts Level. If a manuscript is paginated rather than foliated, use the equivalent formula, substituting "ff." with "pp."; necessarily, the ending page number will be an even number.

• 4 membranes laced end to end
