URL

Manuscript level: Derivatives

Description: URL is a pointer to a scanned Image at a particular size. Although a URL may be repeated in different Repositories, this field is unique within a single Repository.

Technical Description: URL is an optional field allowing up to 255 characters of any kind.

Notes: Special restrictions on the format of a URL must be followed for derivatives hosted by Columbia University. Specifically, URL must consist exclusively of ASCII characters, and be in the following format:

Image resolver:	http://www.columbia.edu/cgi-bin/dlo
Object	obj=ds.[InstitutionCode].[Repository Code].[DigitalObjectID]
Size	size=[Size]
