Drawing upon elements both traditional and innovative, the Dual BA Program Between Columbia University and Sciences Po combines the academic rigor of two world-renowned universities with an attention to the role that social and cultural milieus play in a student's intellectual formation.
Two Years in France
Dual BA Program students will begin their college education by spending two years at one of three Sciences Po regional campuses:

Le Havre — located on the Normandy Coast and focusing on Asia

Menton — located on the French Riviera and focusing on the Mediterranean countries and the Middle East

Reims — located in the Champagne region and focusing on North America
Two Years in New York
At Columbia students will complete the requirements for a major while also cultivating intellectual breadth by fulfilling Core distribution requirements in a variety of disciplines:

- humanities
- literature
- music
- social sciences
- science
One of Europe’s most distinguished universities, Sciences Po has educated many of the leading figures of French public life (notable alumni include French President Nicolas Sarkozy and former presidents Jacques Chirac and François Mitterand, as well as the political philosopher Raymond Aron and the writer Marcel Proust, among others).
In addition to the flagship campus in Paris, Sciences Po consists of 6 regional campuses throughout France, each of which is devoted to a particular region of the world.
Sciences Po students complete a rigorous social sciences curriculum grounded inthe following disciplines:

Sciences Po graduates are guaranteed admission to a master's program at the Sciences Po flagship campus in Paris.
Originally founded in 1754 as King’s College, Columbia University in the City of New York is the fifth oldest institution of higher learning in the United States and one of the world’s leading research centers.
At Columbia Dual BA Program students will be enrolled at the School of General Studies (GS), the undergraduate college at Columbia University dedicated to students pursuing a traditional education through nontraditional paths. GS students include students returning to college with work or life experience; students completing a second bachelor’s degree; and students enrolled in a dual- or joint-degree program.
GS students take the same classes, with the same professors, as students in Columbia College, the residential liberal arts college at Columbia dedicated to students pursuing a traditional undergraduate experience.
