Obtaining DB2 diagnostic information

Use the General page of the Tools Settings notebook to request diagnostic information as directed by DB2 Customer Service.

Attention: Only use the diagnostic facility when directed by DB2 Customer Service or by a technical support representative to do so.

To obtain DB2 diagnostic information:

  1. Open the General page of the Tools Settings notebook.

  2. To save DB2 diagnostic information in the DB2 trace log, select the Add tools tracing to DB2 Trace check box.

  3. To see diagnostic information, use the DB2 Trace facility. For more information about the DB2 trace facility (the db2trc command), see the Command Reference.

  4. Close the Tools Settings notebook by double-clicking in the upper left corner of the notebook.
