Scheduling a recurring job

You can use the Schedule window to schedule a job to occur with any of the following frequencies:

To schedule a recurring job:

  1. Open the Schedule window.

  2. Type a job description in the Job description field.

  3. To schedule a job to occur every few hours, days, weeks, or months:

    1. Click on the Every radio button.

    2. Type the value you want in the adjacent entry field.

    3. Use the up and down arrows to select the unit of time that you want.

  4. To schedule a job to occur one or more times a week:

    1. Click on the One or more times a week radio button.

    2. Click on one or more day-of-the-week push buttons to select the days on which your job is to run.

  5. To schedule a job to occur one or more times a month:

    1. Click on the One or more times a month radio button.

    2. Click on one or more date push buttons to select the dates on which your job is to run.

  6. In the Start box, specify the Start date on which the job is to run, and the Start time at which the job is to begin.

  7. In the End box, specify the End date on which the job is to run for the last time. If you do not specify an end date, the job will run an indefinite number of times.

  8. Type a valid user ID and password.

  9. If you want to define completion actions for the job, click on the Change push button.

  10. When you are finished, click on the OK push button.
