Granting and revoking database authorities for user groups

Use the Group page of the Authorities notebook to grant authorities to and revoke database authorities from user groups.

To grant groups authorities:

  1. Open the Authorities notebook.

  2. Open the Group page by clicking on the Group tab.

  3. In the Group box, all groups that are currently granted authorities for this object are listed. To add additional groups to this list, click on Add group. The Add Group window opens.

  4. Select one or more groups in the Group box.

  5. To grant or revoke all authorities for the selected groups, click on Grant all or Revoke all.

  6. To grant or revoke individual authorities by column, use the Authorities selection boxes. Click on the down arrow, then select Yes or No.

  7. When you have finished changing the authorities for groups, click on Apply. DB2 processes your request.

  8. Click on Close to close the Authorities notebook and return to the Control Center.
