Specifying target columns for a subscription

Use the Target Columns page of the Advanced Subscription Definition notebook to specify the names of the target table columns, which columns are primary keys, and which columns to subscribe to.

To specify target columns for a subscription:

  1. Open the Target Columns page of the Advanced Subscription Definition notebook.

  2. Optional: Rename any of the columns by clicking on them in the Column name field and then typing over the existing names.

  3. Optional: Add any new columns to the target column list by clicking on Create column. The Create Column window opens so you can create new columns.

  4. Optional: Change existing target columns by selecting a column name, then clicking on Change. The Change Column window opens so you can change the SQL expression.

  5. Define the primary key columns for the target table:

    1. Click on Show Keys to display the key columns in the Show Keys window.

    2. Select one or more check boxes under the Primary key field to indicate columns that you want to define as primary key columns.

  6. Define the columns that you want in this subscription definition by selecting one or more check boxes under the Subscribe field.

  7. If you are finished with this notebook, click on OK. Otherwise, click on one of the other two notebook tabs to specify additional information for the subscription.
