Privileges

Use these boxes to grant or revoke the schema privileges for selected users or groups. Click on the down arrow of the CREATEIN, DROPIN, or ALTERIN box and select Yes to grant or No to revoke the privilege. Select Grant to grant the privilege with the ability to grant.

The icons in the columns will show a check mark to indicate that a user has the privilege, a double check mark to indicate that the user has the privilege with the ability to grant, or an X to indicate that the user does not have the privilege.

The privileges for schemas are:

CREATEIN
Grants the privilege to create objects in the schema. Other authorities or privileges (such as CREATETAB) are still required to create the object. The owner of an explicitly created schema automatically receives the CREATEIN privilege. An implicitly created schema has the CREATEIN privilege automatically granted to PUBLIC.

DROPIN
Grants the privilege to drop any object in the schema. The owner of an explicitly created schema automatically receives the DROPIN privilege.

ALTERIN
Grants the privilege to alter or comment on any object in the schema. The owner of an explicitly created schema automatically receives the ALTERIN privilege.
