Parallel

Use the Parallel page of the Configure Instance notebook to view and change the configuration parameters that affect parallel processing. The configuration parameters that affect both intra-partition and inter-partition processing are:

• Enable Intra-Partition Parallelism (intra_parallel)
• Maximum Query Degree of Parallelism (max_querydegree)

The following configuration parameters affect inter-partition processing and are only available when you are attached to a multipartition database system:

• Number of FCM Buffers (fcm_num_buffers)
• Number of FCM Request Blocks (fcm_num_rqb)
• Number of FCM Connection Entries (fcm_num_connect)
• Number of FCM Message Anchors (fcm_num_anchors)
• Connection Elapse Time (conn_elapse)
• Node Connection Retries (max_connretries)
• Maximum Time Difference Among Nodes (max_time_diff)
• Start and Stop Timeout (start_stop_time)
