Before you begin...

To change the comment for an index, you must either be the definer as recorded in the DEFINER column of SYSCAT.INDEXES, or have at least one of the following authorities:

• SYSADM or DBADM
• CONTROL privilege on the index
• CONTROL privilege on the table that is indexed
• ALTERIN privilege on the index's schema
