If the group doesn't have any privileges on a view,
and you want to grant the group any of those privileges individually:
- List the view:
- Click on Add View. The Add View window opens.
- Use the Schema box to specify a schema that includes views that
you want to grant privileges on. A list of the schema's views
appears in the View list box.
- Select the view or views that you want.
- Click on Add. The selected view or views are listed in
the View column. In addition, Xs appear in the privileges
columns and the Privileges boxes specify No. The
Xs and Nos mean that the group doesn't have any privileges on
the selected view or views.
- Optional: Repeat steps b, c, and d to add views in another
schema.
- Click on Close in the Add View window. The window
closes.
- In the View box, select one or more of the views that you
listed.
- In one or more of the Privileges boxes, select either of these
settings:
- Yes
- Grants the privilege without the Grant option.
As a sign that the grant is pending, a check mark framed by corner brackets
appears in the column for this privilege to the right of each selected
view. For example, if you select VIEW4 and specify Yes in
the SELECT box, a check mark framed by corner brackets appears in
the SELECT column to the right of VIEW4.
- Grant
- Grants the privilege with the Grant option (not available for
CONTROL).
As a sign that the grant is pending, a double check mark framed by corner
brackets appears in the column for this privilege to the right of each
selected view. For example, if you select VIEW5 and specify
Grant in the INSERT box, a double check mark framed by
corner brackets appears in the INSERT column to the right of
VIEW5.
The Privileges boxes are:
- Click on Apply. As a sign that the privileges have been
granted, the corner brackets disappear, leaving the single and double check
marks unframed.
