ASC Options

Use the ASC Options window to specify options for loading data from nondelimited ASCII (ASC) files.

Controls

• Retrieve large objects (LOBs) from the specified paths (LOBSINFILE)
• LOB paths
• Add
• Change
• Remove
• Up
• Down
• Do not recognize character x'1A' as the end-of-file character (NOEOFCHAR)
• Truncate trailing blank spaces when loading into variable-length database field (STRIPTBLANKS)
• Truncate trailing nulls (0x00 characters) when loading into variable-length database field (STRIPTNULLS)
• Suppress warnings about rejected rows (NOROWWARNINGS)
• Insert an implied decimal point on decimal data (IMPLIEDDECIMAL)
• Allow numeric data to be in binary format (BINARYNUMERICS)
• Allow numeric data to be in packed decimal format (PACKEDDECIMAL)
• Perform reduced sanity checking on user supplied column values (FASTPARSE)
• Use default values on defaultable columns when missing input data (USEDEFAULTS)
• Record length in characters
• Percentage of free space in each data page (PAGEFREESPACE)
• Percentage of total free space reserved in the table (TOTALFREESPACE)
• Character used to denote null value (NULLINDCHAR)
• OK
