Separate long space

Optional: Select this check box to specify a table space in which to store the values of any long columns. Long data can be LONG VARCHAR, LONG VARGRAPHIC, LOB data types, or a distinct type with any of these as source types.

If you select this check box, use one of these methods to specify the table space that you want in the box:

• Click on the down arrow to display a list of existing, LONG DMS table spaces and select one.

• Type the name of an existing, LONG DMS table space in the box.

This check box and box are available only if both:

• You specified a table space other than the default in the Table space box

• At least one LONG DMS table space exists in the database

If no LONG DMS table spaces exist in the database, you can use the Create push button to create one.

If you do not specify a separate long space, the long data will be stored in the same table space as the table.
