German Language Evaluation/German Language Recommendation Form
All Barnard/Columbia applicants are required to take the BCGS Language Evaluation Exam and be interviewed by Professor Richard Korb. Upon completion of the exam and interview, Professor Korb will complete your German Language Recommendation Form and submit it to the Admissions Committee on your behalf.
Please contact Professor Korb as soon as possible in the application process and no later than two weeks before the application deadline to learn the exam date and to schedule an interview. The exam takes about 75 minutes and each candidate will be scheduled for a 30-minute interview.
